Pork

We do not raise pigs (meaning we do not breed them and keep many) but, we are pork eaters so, we grow 2-3 pigs each year to harvest the meat.  Our family can not consume that much meat (one pig yields about as much as one of our beefs) but, pigs are a social animal so we raise them with companions for their happiness, and share the harvest with others.  We purchase weaned piglets and raise them on organic and non-GMO grains plus organic scraps from our farm from March - July each year.
